Archangel Gabriel, more than any other Archangel has been seen and appeared before spiritual devotees as both male and female. This has caused some confusion as to the real gender of this Archangel. It is important to remember that energetic contact and receiving spiritual Impression is very much affected by someone’s believe systems to a point. To those who view Gabriel as female, they will receive the impression of a female angel and those who believe Gabriel is male will ‘see’ a male angel. Quite often hierarchal energetic beings will ‘appear’ to us in a way they will be recognized and familiar, so the contact received is healing and not confusing.
I usually refer to Gabriel as ‘she’ as I have always seen Gabriel as feminine. More important than the debate over gender, is Gabriel’s role. She is one of the most prominent Archangels mentioned in many different spiritual writings in many different religions. She is the Archangel of Guidance and healing as well.
